I read the following books and liked 'em. Maybe even loved 'em (well.. One I hated). They stick to my brain the most. PS. Please feel free to leave me book recs in my comments!
In positively no order:
- A Star called Henry- Roddy Doyle
- Treasure Island - Robert Louis Stevenson
- Everything Bad is Good for You - Steven Johnson
- The White Tiger - Aravind Adiga
- The Long Walk to Freedom - Nelson Mandela
- Shake Hands with the Devil - Romeo D'allaird
- Child of God- Cormac McCarthy
- Snuff- Chuck Palahniuk. My goodness.
- Fight Club- Chuck P again.
- The Witches (my first ever twisted book)- Roald Dahl
- The Red Tent- Anita Diamant
- Alias Grace- Margaret Atwood
- Wicked Series - Gregory Maguire (although I didn't like any of his other books)
- Perfume - Patrick Suskind
- Naked- David Sedaris
- Of Mice & Men- Steinbach
- Howl- Mr Ginsberg
- Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas- Hunter S. Thompson
- Naked Lunch- William S. Burroughs (Here is the thing: I hate this book, but I can't stop thinking about it. I hate it but I think it's an important book. Burroughs moons all the censors with this atrocity. That has to happen sometimes.)
- Microserfs- Douglas Coupland (hilariously nerdy. I now refer to Neil's office at work as the "Habitrail".)
- Eats, Shoots & Leaves- Lynn Truss (everyone should read this. E V E R Y O N E).
- The Fountainhead- Ayn Rand (I love this monster).
- The History of Madness- (I also love this even bigger monster)
- The Android's Dream- John Scalzi (clever and fun. Not so monstery)
